Find My Fitbit - How to find a lost Fitbit?
Instructions - Android
NOTE: To start searching for your device on the main screen hit the back button on your Android phone or tablet after reading instructions.
Step 1 | See my Fitbit
Step 2 | Find my Fitbit
Step 3 | Celebrate!
- In the Find My Fitbit app on the "Seen Devices" screen you should see your lost Fitbit listed.
- If your Fitbit doesn't appear, hold your Android phone or tablet in front of your and walk very very slowly around the area where you think you lost your Fitbit until your lost Fitbit appears on the screen. When your Fitbit appears - click on "Tap Here To Find Your Fitbit"
- If your Fitbit is not appearing, it means the app is not receiving Bluetooth signals from your Fitbit. This could mean you are not near your Fitbit, your Fitbit is out of battery, or that the Fitbit is paired to a phone (yours or someone else's) and needs to be unpaired before it will broadcast a signal. Skip to "Plan B" below to try unpairing your Fitbit.
- Users with certain hardware, or a Fitbit with low battery, may experience large signal fluctuations between hot and cold, even if standing still. Keep walking slowly in the direction you suspect your Fitbit is in until you get a clearer reading.
Step 2 | Find my Fitbit
- Hold your Android phone or tablet in front of you and walk very very slowly around the area where you lost your Fitbit.
- As you walk around the Find My Fitbit app will display how close you are to the lost Fitbit using Cold, Warmer, and Hot indicators.
- Cold – You are not close to your lost Fitbit. Move in a different direction.
- Warmer – You are getting closer to your lost Fitbit.
- Hot – You are right next to your lost Fitbit.

TIPS
Unfortunately, Android Phones and Tablets are known for Bluetooth & WiFi interference (they share the same antenna). This can cause the app to not work properly.
- "Force close" our app - http://www.tomsguide.com/us/close-android-apps,news-21281.html
- Restart your phone.
- After the phone restarts go through Plan A again. If plan A doesn't work, try plan B. If plan B doesn't work a second time it could mean that either your Fitbit's battery is dead or your Fitbit is more than 100 feet away from you.
